About the Role

As a Product Owner you will assume product accountability of all required changes. You will work together with Product Manager (who defines the go-to-market strategy and the high-level requirements) and ensure that the right regulatory requirements are developed for the final solution to our customers.

You will take ownership of the product backlog and manage change requests – to define the necessary investments to be done to fulfill all partner and customer needs, including the development of new functionalities, maintenance, efficiency, quality, and performance improvements.

The Product Owner fine-tunes the product vision - understands the product, the business, our partners and customers and always thinks ahead, out of the box, is focused on streamlining and finding efficiencies within processes and architecture on existing and upcoming setups between WK and its partners.

  • Act as a Voice of Customer
  • Set-up and maintain the product backlog and manage change requests
  • Work with the Scrum Master and development team members to define clear requirements on Feature and Story level, having solid and unambiguous acceptance criteria
  • Ensure a successful execution of the Definition of Ready and Definition of Done
  • Participate in all agile ceremonies or events to ensure proper refinement, sizing, estimation, planning, and review of product backlog items
  • Active in ensuring continuous improvement
  • Efficient collaboration with fellow product owners
  • Support Product Development key initiatives and programs by adopting and supporting these changes as well as assessing their impact on the product backlog
  • Adopt our business processes as defined in our Quality Management System
  • Precisely reports to higher management and stakeholders, adhering to our business processes

About You

  • Degree in Computer Science/Economics/Management/Financial Services
  • Experience with information technology and strong affinity and business savvy with our product offering. Good understanding of OneSumX Regulatory architecture is a benefit (Wolters Kluwer product)
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills – feeling comfortable with stakeholder & management reporting and presentations
  • Assertive and results driven – able to work with and influence multiple stakeholders across different departments, including Product Development and Product Management
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment – out-of-the-box solution oriented
  • Responsible, methodical and organized
  • Can-do mentality while acting as a continual improvement role model
  • Thorough understanding of project management, preferably with some exposure to standards like Lean, Agile, Scrum, is an asset. Certification in one or more of these areas is a plus
  • Experience in the Financial Services domain is a plus
  • Relevant working experience as a Product Owner holding product backlog responsibility is an asset
  • Fluent in English
