This position is required to:

  • Ensure and maintain a high quality of cleanliness of the restaurant
  • Cover for urgent vacancies of other outlets.
  • Conceptualize, develop, and plan new menus and recipes for the restaurant.
  • Maintain a deep knowledge and trends of the markets and industry.
  • Establish connections with food and material suppliers, ensuring high food quality with efficient cost.
  • Ensure that customers’ satisfaction levels meet or exceed expectations as per the company’s standards and procedures.
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date knowledge of Singapore’s health codes and regulations and ensure that food safety and quality of restaurant meet compliance requirements set by the Singapore Government.
  • Lead, mentor and manage culinary team, and ensure that all staffs are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job duties.
  • Be a role model to the team, increasing staff productivity and the service levels
  • Any other duties, as required by the business needs of the Company.

Requirements

  • At least 15 years’ experience in culinary industry.
  • Professional culinary certificate is required.
  • Professional skills and experience with Wood Fire Napoletana Pizza-making (NOT gas or electric oven).
  • Professional skills and experience with cutting a large salmon fish into three pieces on 70% over of yield rate.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead the team and manage smooth daily operations of the restaurant.
  • Ability to manage food inventory effectively without excessive amount or lack of stocks
  • High level of creativity and innovation to research and develop new menu.
  • Good negotiation skills to develop and liaise with list of suppliers
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain good relationship with both internal staff and external parties.
  • Professional and serious attitude at work
  • Excellent customer management skills, especially using Japanese language.
  • Excellent time management skills
