Today, LingoAce has a total student base of 100,000 students across 80 countries – coming from families of different nationalities including international expats, Chinese immigrants and local parents. The company has more than 2,000 teachers and 600 employees globally.

The Role

We have established a global product marketing function for our new product English Live in Singapore. We are building this team and looking to hire Social Media & Content Lead who will be working as part of the Marketing team that will be leading the launch across several markets 2022 onwards. This is a highly exciting role and opportunity to work on establishing and growing a new product for a high-growth EdTech start-up.

As a successful hire, you will be responsible for building and shaping the social media strategy from ground up, developing a framework & content that can be deployed across markets, planning and coordinating social media marketing efforts with local community managers to establish our brand presence and drive follower growth across social channels.

As the Lead for social media and content, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies, social media and influencer marketing trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively. Ultimately, you should be able to handle our social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.


Responsibilities

  • Be a thought leader who can shape the marketing team’s creativity and future of LingoAce on social platforms by identifying and acting on opportunities to experiment on platforms while prioritizing business needs
  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with clear business goals and benchmarks for social platform performance and report on ROI goals
  • Lead the creation and development of compelling content that achieves desired goals across our marketing channels – Facebook, Instagram, local channels wherever applicable)
  • Lead the prioritization, budgeting, and resourcing of our content investments that serve our business needs (user growth, audience acquisition etc)
  • Identify social media influencers & partners that will help deliver on our brand goals
  • Identify and manage agency partners and content developers; social media tooling improvement opportunities, and work with the team to implement them
  • Stay on top of content trends and experiment with new ways to deepen audience engagement with our brand
  • Build and lead a team of content marketing professionals
  • Partner with peers/ stakeholders across the organization to develop unique, relevant, and valuable content tailored to different target audience groups
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in social media marketing and creative development
  • Experience as an IC/ or team lead who can define strategy and execute with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization, and scale workload using technology
  • Outstanding written communication skills, both in terms of internal-facing communications (e.g., presentations, one-pagers, etc.) and external-facing communications (e.g., social media posts, ad copy, website copy, etc.).
  • Experience managing budgets, working with various teams, and creative/production agencies
  • Excellent social media strategy, project management, storytelling, and leadership skills
  • Ability to deliver quality outcomes on deadlines in an often ambiguous and fast-paced environment
  • Solid knowledge of social media management tools – creative, publishing, and analytics
  • Creative editorial skills – Adobe, Photoshop etc (a plus point)
  • Degree in Marketing or relevant field
