Our client is a prominent intellectual property (IP) service provider in the Asia-Pacific region. With a history of more than 100 years, they have developed a strong infrastructure supported by advanced systems and highly capable teams.

They offer a comprehensive array of services encompassing the protection, commercialization, enforcement, and management of various types of intellectual property, such as patents, trademarks, and designs.

Their diverse clientele spans from ambitious start-ups and emerging businesses to renowned Fortune 500 companies and research organizations in the public sector, covering a wide range of industries.

The Responsibilities:
This Singapore-based position is a senior regional role, part of an IT team of about 7 headcounts which are based across Asia. This position reports to the IT Operations Manager (based in Singapore) and will be expected to handle approx. 250 end-users, in which 130 of them are based in Singapore. This position is a L2/3 role in the ITSM space and is mainly responsible for IT infrastructure, projects management as well as managing of vendors to support the team.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Optimize the performance of all infrastructure aspects, streamline IT processes, implement proactive maintenance measures
  • Ensure the team’s successful delivery of project requirements. To continuously enhance the infrastructure in the region, maintaining consistency in executing changes
  • Be involved in infrastructure strategizing for future infrastructure needs, implement resourcing strategies for projects and change requests, and explore new initiatives
  • Manage partnerships and processes with vendors, including overseeing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), monitoring deliverables, and managing of costs
  • Establish performance objectives for the team, provide feedback, allocate appropriate resources to projects, and general support to the business
  • Effectively manage resources and ensure compliance with established procedures
  • While this role is on a Monday to Friday office working hours, there may be requirements to work after hours and weekends on an ad-hoc basis depending on business requirements. Time off-in-lieu will be provided for such arrangements
The Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science
  • Minimally 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • As this role may at times work closely with the office in greater China, experience working within this region and having the relevant language skills will be a plus
  • Previous experience working with Microsoft 365, Cloud and Virtualization technology is preferred
  • Proficient in Wintel, IT operational & helpdesk processes and infrastructure maintenance
  • A self-starter and an independent worker, at the same being able to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence and manage relationships with stakeholders across all levels
