Quantity Surveyor

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and prepare all contract documentations and schedules as well as providing support in the estimation of project costs, preparation of specifications, bills of quantities and other tender requirements

• Responsible for preparing pre-contract documentation, cost estimates, valuation of monthly progressive claims, quantities take-off, valuate variations order, handling contractual issues and finalisation of project accounts

• Ensure all measurements and itemizations of works are carried out accurately in accordance with the respective method of measurement and records of such are kept and maintained properly

• Ensure proper records and measurements are kept for the sub-contract works and those subcontractors’ payments are paid according to their proper entitlement

• Advising on procurement strategy and sourcing for required material and suppliers

• Ensure all assigned responsibilities relating to quality are carried out in accordance with the Company quality procedures

• Performing risk and value management and cost control

• Perform other ad-hoc duties from the Management
  

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical), Quantity Survey or equivalent

• At least 3 years (s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position

• Knowledge in Building Contracts and good eye for details

• Meticulous, independent and possess excellent negotiation skills
