Paralegal

• Assists Legal Team to provide support for the Magellan X Group of Companies
• Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance for business activities

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support in a board range of areas including contract, commercial law, software license, data security/privacy compliance, employment law, risk management etc.
• Assist to review and draft contracts for the business, including supplier contracts.
• Assist with corporate secretarial matters including preparation of documents such as resolutions of directors/shareholders, minutes of meetings and arranging for document execution.
• Assist to develop company standard operating procedures, policies and procedures
• Prepare and maintain contract templates
• Provide support for legal and compliance training for the business
• Maintain contract database
• Other tasks assigned by the General Counsel

Scope of Position:

• To assist in a start-up environment for Magellan X and its three subsidiaries with an overall headcount of about 100 across all companies and growing

Relationships:

• Internal stakeholders within the Magellan X Group of companies
• External suppliers

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Law and Management from Temasek Polytechnic or equivalent.

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of prior relevant work experience in a law firm or in-house.
• Prior experience dealing with information technology contracts and corporate secretarial matters will be preferred.
• Competent written and communication skills in English
• Willing to learn
• Able to work independently and reliably under time pressure and on multiple tasks in a co-operative and team-oriented working style
• Proactive with solid integrity and sense of responsibility.
