We are seeking a passionate Global Learning & Development Expert to enhance Munich Re’s global HR capabilities and drive our learning organization forward. As a key member of the Global Talent team, your primary focus will be on learning and development projects. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and evaluating global learning initiatives, shaping a modern and future-oriented learning organization. Reporting to the Head of Global Learning & Leadership Development, you will contribute to fostering employee growth and ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills to thrive.

Your Job

  • Lead the design and development of Munich Re’s future learning organization, collaborating with important partners in HR and the business.
  • Assist in implementing the Learning Organization’s learning technology, governance, and analytics setup.
  • Drive the area of employee development with a focus on globally relevant overarching skills, creating a compelling framework and portfolio to support employee growth and mobility.
  • Curate learning journeys and design learning paths and content, identifying relevant skill and data points for topics to curate, and ensuring engaging learning experiences in various formats.
  • Enhance the visibility of our global development offerings through appropriate channels and engage with relevant communities to support continuous development.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to identify and address specific learning needs across various departments and regions, ensuring that learning initiatives are tailored to meet the diverse requirements of different teams.
  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of learning programs and initiatives, gathering feedback from participants and key stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implementing enhancements to optimize learning outcomes.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in learning and development, regularly conducting research to stay current with innovative approaches and technologies.

Your Profile:

  • University degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience in a global Learning and Development organization.
  • Relevant additional qualifications or certifications are desirable (e.g., trainer, learning design, instructional design, project management).
  • Previous experience in either designing a Global Corporate Learning Organization/ Academy model or driving a Corporate Academy setup with an important role.
  • Experience in a multinational, matrix organization, with additional business experience being a plus to effectively engage with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, digital learning tools, and content providers, such as LinkedIn Learning or SuccessFactors, is desirable.
  • Passionate about lifelong learning, learning ecosystems, and all people development-related topics (employee experience, learning journeys, career paths, etc.).
  • Enjoy networking, with enthusiasm and confidence in engaging with various partners at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent command of English.
