The Commodities Middle Office team provides best in class support to both the trading and the sales desks for a client base that extends throughout Asia.Products supported are OTC / listed derivatives and financing products across the main Commodity asset classes (Oil, Gas, Softs and Ags, and Precious and Base Metals) as well as physical commodities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide trade and operational support to Asia Trading and Sales desk
- Perform daily reconciliations and checks to ensure trading position and risk are captured in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensure all controls are diligently performed, completed, and signed off on a timely basis
- Manage query resolution, utilizing clear and concise communication, working in close collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of client queries and issues
- Support management oversight and governance through MIS reporting and control indicators
- Identify and work to deliver process improvements which increase efficiency, reduce manual touchpoint or control enhancement
- Work closely with Operations functions and infrastructure groups to support a ’one team approach’
Required Skills:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Trade/Sales support, Middle Office or Settlements within Financial Services is required
- Good analytical skills, control mindset and attention to details
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment and be flexible to changes to scope and approach
- Ability to demonstrate personal initiative, ownership and accountability
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications
- Prior knowledge/experience on Intelligent Automation Tools e.g. Alteryx, Tableau an advantage
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
