ANALYST (INVESTMENTS)

Primary Role Description

Support the research and investment activities of the Company and provide effective support in deal origination, qualification, procurement of debt capital and investor relations. Assist in the formulation of strategies by providing industry analysis, market comparables and developing appropriate financial structures. In this capacity you will be responsible for financial review and modelling, feasibility analysis and valuation. You are also required to prepare pitch books and reports for stakeholders.

Secondary Role Description

Required to demonstrate personal capability and potential to grow beyond the primary role descriptions. You are also required to undertake periodic market research and other tasks as maybe assigned to you to assist Management to develop appropriate investment strategies consistent with the market dynamics. You are expected to take ownership to deliver and meet project or task deadlines.

Primary Functions

• Identify, evaluate and provide comprehensive assessment of each business opportunity to support investment decisions;
• Conduct financial modelling, feasibility analysis and valuation of prospective investment opportunities;
• Prepare pitch books and reports for stakeholders;
• Prepare and critically review investment documentation including investment memoranda, presentations, and due diligence materials;
• Work with tax advisors to manage ROI and tax efficiency of projects under review and under management;
• Work with legal counsel on documentation;
• Assist in development of fund strategies, fund structuring, material preparation, market research and support of relationships;
• Analyse project performance via dashboard of KPIs and performance ratios;
• Identify operational risk areas and improvement opportunities;
• Assist in developing and implementing fund strategies, including syndication financing; and
• Conduct research on and assist in the development of the corporate governance framework, policies and procedures to ensure compliance to legal and regulatory frameworks of the host countries

• Ability to develop and maintain financial models that can effectively be applied in acquisition, portfolio management and situational reviews;
• Knowledge and understanding of institutional investment and reporting standards;
• Ability to develop strategies for debt financing and deal structuring; and
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering or other quantitative field;
• Expert in Excel and Office 365;
• Expert in cash flow modelling and valuation;
• CFA or other relevant certifications preferred;
• Knowledge and understanding of the Real Estate industry and relevant valuation standards;
• Knowledge and understanding of institutional investment and reporting standards;
• Ability to develop strategies for debt financing and deal structuring;
• Strong presentation, business writing, and communication skills;
• Fluent in English and a common Asian language preferred.
